This was an incredible guided, boat supported kayaking trip on Lake Powell.  We camped for 5 days deep in Glen Canyon N.R.A. and each day our small group explored slot canyons by kayak and on foot.  The guide company I worked with was amazing- we were treated like kings and their knowledge of the area and kayaking expertise made for an unforgettable trip!

Lake Powell Kayak Trip, Arizona

Joshua Tree, California

Joshua Tree National Park is an easy weekend destination that offers great hiking, rock climbing lessons for all abilities, camping and other-worldly scenery. Stop by the ranger station to get maps of the local trails and to learn about the unique desert animals and eco-system contained within this beautiful park.

Caples Lake, California

This beautiful area is just south of Lake Tahoe on Highway 88.  There are cabins and camping available, as well as great hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking… All this without the traffic and crowds of nearby Lake Tahoe!

Zion National Park, Utah

This beautiful Nation Park is only an 8 hour drive from Los Angeles and is near to Bryce, Moab and Canyonlands National Park.  It offers stunning hikes for all ability levels. Fall is a my favorite time to visit- the crowds are gone, the temperatures are mild and the canyon is ablaze with colorful foliage.
